Should an emergency situation ever arise while school is in session, we want you to be aware that the school has made preparations to respond effectively to such situations. During an emergency situation, your student(s) will be safely cared for at this school. Your cooperation is necessary in any emergency. Please review the steps below to help us ensure the safety of your student.
1. Please do not telephone the school. Telephone lines will be needed for emergency communication. Please be sure to have a current phone number listed on file.
2. In the event of an emergency, students will be kept at school until buses can safely transport them home or they are picked up by an identified adult who is listed on the student’s school emergency card.
3. Please communicate to your child the importance of following directions of any school personnel during an emergency situation.
4. Refrain from calling students’ cell phones. During an emergency situation, cell phone use may be dangerous, distracting, or may call undue attention to a student or group.
When the school has been deemed safe, an all-clear signal will be given and school staff will notify all parents/guardians. Students will then be released at a designated gate located on school campus. Students will be released only to a parent/guardian identified on the student’s emergency pick up. Please be patient as we ensure the safety of your child from school to the designated pick up location.
