The GSBA Youth Advisory Council gives students across Georgia the opportunity to learn more about school boards, share student perspectives, participate in leadership discussions, and represent student voices at the state level. Kaydence’s selection reflects her hard work, compassion, creativity, and commitment to leadership.
As part of the council, Kaydence will participate in leadership activities, monthly meetings, student panels, and the GSBA/GSSA Annual Conference in Atlanta.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Kamoiye Peacock 🌟 Turner County High School is proud to celebrate one of our outstanding alumni, Kamoiye Peacock, the 2024 TCHS Valedictorian and STAR Student! Kamoiye continues to represent TCHS with excellence. While in high school, he earned his Certified Nursing Assistant credential before graduation, demonstrating his commitment to healthcare and service early on. He is now a Pre-Med major at Morehouse College, where he is continuing to pursue his passion for medicine and research. This summer, Kamoiye will be interning at Yale University in Connecticut through the Yale BioMed Amgen Scholars Program, a highly selective, research-intensive summer program at Yale School of Medicine. Through this opportunity, he will conduct biomedical research alongside Yale faculty mentors while gaining hands-on lab experience, mentorship, and professional development designed to prepare future physician-scientists and researchers. Kamoiye’s journey is a powerful example of what is possible when talent, hard work, determination, and opportunity come together. We are incredibly proud of him and cannot wait to see all that he accomplishes in the future. Congratulations, Kamoiye!
